THE 8th ANNUAL GUTV STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL

Contact: Ashley Ulker, Chair

at filmfest@gutvonline.com

Georgetown is a community that embraces student initiative, imagination, and creativity, and student filmmaking is an important medium through which to express these characteristics. GUTV is responsible for the creation of the Film Festival as an enriching venue for showcasing student filmmaking talent that would otherwise have no forum. In the past, every single screening has been sold out, as the demand for tickets and both the number and quality of student submissions continue to grow. Essentially, the Festival seeks to unite our campus through film.

In the Festival’s 9th year, the Executive Committee is working to make this year’s Festival an unforgettable red-carpet event. Once again, student filmmakers will have the opportunity to showcase their work in front of the attentive and supportive eyes of their peers, professors, and alumni. All Georgetown students and alumni are eligible to submit a film, and all films must be under 20 minutes in length. Please contact filmfest@gutvonline.com for any further information about submitting a film or about the Festival in general.
